Privacy Policy

Your wardrobe is yours.

Last updated 1 October 2026

This policy explains what information CLST by Nudefinitions collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

CLST does not sell personally identifiable wardrobe data.

1. Who we are

CLST and the Nudefinitions brand are operated by Savage & Daughters, Inc, trading as SD Co, a company registered in Seychelles under company number 250174 (“SD Co”, “we”, “us”). Nudefinitions was founded in 2017; its business and brands, including CLST, are now held and operated by SD Co.

SD Co is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at:

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the CLST web app at app.nudefinitions.com, the nudefinitions.com website, the CLST Home Screen (PWA) and mobile apps, and any related services that link to it (together, “CLST”).

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), or your Google account email and name if you sign in with Google.
  • Profile and preferences: the name you ask CLST to call you, country, language, clothing and shoe sizing systems, measurement system, temperature preference, currency, laundry days, reminder settings and time zone.
  • Profile photo (optional): a small picture of you, resized on your device (which also strips location data from the photo) and stored privately.
  • Body measurements (optional): measurements you choose to enter, such as height, chest, waist, hips or foot length. They are stored only on your profile, used only to help with fit, and never sent to analytics or AI services.
  • Wardrobe content: photos of garments, cut-outs and cleaned-up versions of those photos, photos of you wearing garments if you add them, and the details you record: category, colour, brand, size, fit, comfort, occasions, materials, care, notes, locations, availability and laundry state. It also includes where a piece is (for example packed, loaned or missing), whether you still own it (sold, donated or archived), its condition, its purchase price and currency, and whether it is on your resale shortlist. Notes you write, such as who you lent something to, are stored as you write them.
  • Usage of your wardrobe: outfits you plan, what you wear and when, feedback on looks, wash and repair history.
  • Evidence: receipts, care labels, brand or size labels and defect photos, and the details read from them (retailer, date, product, size, SKU, price, currency, order number). You choose whether the original receipt image is kept.
  • Voice: when you tap the microphone, CLST records a short clip and sends it for transcription. See section 5. When CLST answers out loud, it uses your device’s built-in voice; nothing extra is sent for that.
  • Imports: spreadsheets, CSV, JSON or ZIP files and photos you import from elsewhere.
  • Purchase emails: if you choose to forward order emails to your private CLST address, or connect an Outlook account. See section 6.
  • Messages to us: anything you send us when you contact us. When you use the Feedback button, that includes your note, any screenshot you choose to attach, the page you were on, your screen size, device and browser type, and your language. Feedback is never sent to analytics.

Information collected automatically

  • Location for weather: if you allow it in your browser or device, CLST uses your approximate position to show local weather and to adapt Today, Plan and Suggests. You can refuse or withdraw this permission at any time in your browser or device settings; CLST then uses your chosen country.
  • Product analytics: if Product improvement is on (it is on when you register, and you can turn it off in You › Privacy), events such as “garment saved” or “import completed”, with technical details like counts or error types. These events do not include wardrobe images, body images, fit text, notes, receipts or voice transcripts. Automatic click tracking and session recording are switched off, and we honour your browser’s Do Not Track setting.
  • Error and performance data: crash reports and performance traces, with default personal-information collection switched off and session replay disabled.
  • Device permissions: on the web, the PWA and the iOS and Android apps, CLST asks before using your camera (garments, labels, receipts), photo library, microphone (only while you talk to Dear CLST) and location (local weather). Each can be refused or withdrawn in your device settings.
  • Notifications: if you turn on laundry reminders, your browser gives CLST a push subscription so we can send you one reminder on your laundry day. Reminders are off until you turn them on.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and server logs kept by our hosting providers for security and reliability.

4. How we use your information

  • To provide CLST: storing your wardrobe, tracking availability and care, planning outfits, making suggestions, and showing your history.
  • To read photos, labels, receipts, voice and emails so that you do not have to type details yourself. You always see and can correct what CLST understood before it is saved.
  • To personalise suggestions from your own wardrobe, if Personalisation is on in You › Privacy.
  • To keep CLST secure, prevent abuse (for example, rate limits on costly features) and fix errors.
  • To improve CLST using de-identified usage signals. You agree to this when you register, and you can turn it off at any time in You › Privacy.
  • To produce anonymous community insights, which are part of how CLST works (see section 7).
  • To send you product and editorial updates, only if Marketing is on.
  • To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

Legal bases (where the GDPR or similar laws apply)

We rely on contract to provide the service you asked for; consent for location access, microphone access, connecting Outlook and marketing (you can withdraw consent at any time); legitimate interests for security, error monitoring, product-improvement analytics (which you can turn off) and anonymous community insights, balanced against your rights; and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

5. AI features

CLST uses AI to understand garment photos, receipts, care labels, voice and purchase emails, and to interpret commands such as “keep the shirt and change the bag”. AI output is treated as a suggestion. It passes through CLST’s own validation before anything in your wardrobe changes, and you can correct it.

  • Only what the feature needs is sent: for example, a garment photo for garment analysis, or the audio clip for transcription.
  • To act on a spoken or typed outfit request, such as “make it more casual”, CLST may send the request together with a text list of the relevant garments (names, types, colours, availability states and tags). Photos are not sent for this.
  • Voice clips are sent for transcription and are not stored by CLST. The resulting text is used to carry out your request.
  • Our AI providers process this content under their business API terms, which do not permit them to use it to train their models. They may keep it for a limited period for abuse monitoring.
  • Optional photo tools (Smooth, Shadow, Tidy) and background removal run on models hosted for CLST. Catalogue images refine the presentation of your actual garment; they are not meant to redesign it.
  • Temporary uploads made while processing a photo are deleted after use, and an hourly clean-up removes any left behind.

6. Purchase email import

This is optional. You can give CLST order emails in two ways:

  • Forwarding: you get a private address that contains a random token. Emails you forward there are received by Postmark and read to find clothing items. You can rotate the address at any time so the old one stops working.
  • Connect Outlook: you sign in with Microsoft and grant read access to your mail. CLST searches once, at that moment, for recent order emails (up to 80 per scan). The access token is used only for that scan and is not stored; CLST cannot read your mailbox again unless you sign in again.

In both cases CLST does not store the email body. It keeps only the sender’s domain, the subject and the structured items it found (retailer, order number, date, items, prices). If a retailer’s email shows a product photo, CLST’s server fetches that image from the retailer’s link so you can see it and, if you add the piece, keep it as the garment’s photo. Nothing becomes part of your wardrobe until you review and confirm it, and you can delete imported entries.

7. Aggregated insights

Some parts of CLST Suggests show what the CLST community wears in certain weather or for certain occasions. These figures are calculated from garment categories and colours across many people’s worn outfits. They include no names, images, notes or garment identifiers, and any figure based on fewer than 20 people is withheld so that no individual wardrobe can be read back out.

Community insights are a core feature of CLST and are always on. Because only anonymous totals are used and nothing identifies you, there is no individual opt-out; if you do not want your wardrobe counted, you can delete your account.

Any business insight we may offer others in the future will use only properly aggregated and de-identified information, and never your images, receipts, notes or fit descriptions.

8. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, listed below.
  • Authorities or others where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or SD Co.
  • A successor if CLST or SD Co is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to protect your information unless you are told otherwise.

9. International transfers

CLST is used around the world, and our providers operate in several countries, including the United States and the European Union. Your information is primarily stored in Ireland. Where information leaves your country, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections offered by our providers.

10. How long we keep information

  • Account, profile and wardrobe data: for as long as your account is open. When you use Delete account in You, your account, records and files are deleted straight away. If you ask us by email instead, we do it within 30 days. Copies in backups roll off on our provider’s schedule, and we keep only what the law requires.
  • Original receipt images: only if you choose to keep them; otherwise only the extracted details are stored.
  • Temporary processing images: deleted after use, and within about an hour at the latest.
  • Push subscriptions: kept while reminders are on; removed when you turn them off or when your browser reports the subscription has expired.
  • Voice clips: not stored by CLST.
  • Email bodies: not stored. Outlook access tokens: not stored.
  • Analytics and error data: kept for the retention period of the relevant provider, normally no longer than needed to understand and fix problems.

11. Your choices and rights

In CLST you can already:

  • turn Personalisation, Product improvement and Marketing on or off in You › Privacy;
  • export everything in one ZIP from You: your records as CLST JSON (which CLST can import again), a garments spreadsheet, your garment photos and the receipts you kept;
  • edit or delete garments, images, receipts and imports;
  • delete your account and everything in it, including photos, receipts and your profile photo, in You › Delete account;
  • turn laundry reminders on or off in You;
  • refuse or withdraw location and microphone permissions in your browser or device settings.

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, Nigeria’s Data Protection Act, Ghana’s Data Protection Act, Brazil’s LGPD or California privacy law), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To make any other request, email us at admin@sdco.world or write to the address in section 1. We may need to confirm your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

12. Cookies and local storage

CLST uses cookies and your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language, onboarding progress and display settings), and for product analytics, which stops when you turn off Product improvement. We do not use advertising cookies. Clearing your browser data will sign you out and reset these preferences.

13. Security

Your data is protected by encryption in transit, row-level access rules so that each account can read only its own records, and keys to third-party services that stay on our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.

14. Children

CLST is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as CLST changes. We will show the new date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.

16. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to SD Co at admin@sdco.world or to the address in section 1. Our Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using CLST.
